About the Painting from the Artist:

"When I started painted this scene, I was a few months pregnant with our second child and, at 7 months pregnant, my husband and I took in our first foster child. So you could say, this time of my life was jam packed with changes! 

Painting, and really art in general, has always been something that brings me a sense of peace. It is something I would consider essential to my mental health. So, painting a beautiful beach scene was something I found a lot of tranquility from. 

You'll notice I chose to add in the deep purple which some speculate is a coming storm. I chose to add this in while I was in the midst of all these new life changes. This deep purple was a symbolism of the hard "storms" that pass by us, but there is still beauty around us.

So, in the midst of your storm, I hope you'll still be able to see the beauty in life around you." -Evelyn
